Wilson To is a recent doctoral graduate of the Graduate Group in Integrated Pathobiology / Comparative Pathology from the University of California, Davis. His scientific research expertise are in the areas of microcirculatory systems, vascular disease, and point-of-care technologies, all of which culminated in the discovery of novel biomarkers for early vascular disease detection using computer-assisted intravital microscopy. His undergraduate studies in the biological sciences at UC San Diego were complemented with additional coursework in business, with an emphasis in product management and entrepreneurial studies.
Wilson is deeply passionate about global health and technology, and has been heavily involved with the development of different award-winning mobile healthcare technologies for low resource environments – some of which have led to several patent filings and an early healthcare startup venture. His innovative projects have been highlighted and featured on a number of different major media outlets around the world (including Forbes, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, National Public Radio (NPR), CNN, Reuters), presented at many international conferences, and recognized by government leaders (including President Barack Obama and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan).
Wilson is currently a Senior Manager of Product Management within Global Technology at IMS Health, primarily focused on strategy development, research, and global platform development for universal healthcare data. He started his career at Caradigm, a Microsoft and GE Healthcare joint venture, as a Product Manager within the product strategy team dedicated to population health and healthcare analytics.
